New Lambton FC is pleased to offer development training opportunities for MiniRoos & Inter-District community players.
For U8 and U9 players this program will be used to identify players for selection into 2020 Skill Acquisition Program (SAP).
SAP is the start of the talented player pathway in the Northern NSW region, this program can only be offered by Premier Clubs such as New Lambton. SAP pathway starts with the U9s and continues through to U12s and underpins the youth structures in Premier Clubs to give players the opportunity to play for their club from U9 years of age all the way through to senior football. 2019 Season U9 and U10 SAP only with U11 introduced in 2020 and by 2021 U9 through to U12s. Additionally NLFC offers girls only development squad training from U9’s.
- U8-9’s Skills Training – Monday nights (time and venue to be confirmed)
- U10-U14’s Skills Training – Monday nights (time and venue to be confirmed)
- Goal Keeper training – Alder Park (Day/Time to be confirmed)
Programs will be offered at discounted rate of $10 per player per session – $80 total cost for 8 sessions.
Training programs open to both boys and girls.
Dependant on numbers players will be grouped for training exercises by skill level, aptitude and attitude not by age or gender.
Training programs scheduled to start early term 2 (start date to be confirmed).
Programs developed by New Lambton first team coach and club technical director Jim Foley. Coaches delivering training will be from NLFC premier senior and youth squads.
NLFC junior team coaches are invited to attend these sessions to view and also welcome to participate where possible.
